Good morning Mr. Rudess,
About timing: I have the tendency to play the notes before the metronome click (I checked myself in a DAW): is there anything in particular I can do to correct this problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hello Massimo! I understand this problem! We get excited sometimes and it’s almost natural to rush a bit. Think about the concept of “groove” where each beat has weight and importance. Almost like a good drummer would feel. A lot of keyboard players have trouble with really experiencing the weight of the beat. You need to settle your mind and breath and picture the beats of the Metronome like real slices in time that have meaning and depth. I hope these thoughts help you. Take your time and maybe try practicing a little slower as well
